Robert Baseman,Esq.

Associate Attorney

Robert Baseman was admitted to the California Bar in 2020 and joined Kermisch and Paletz LLP as an associate attorney in 2023. He attended the University of Southern California Gould School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor Degree in 2019.

Prior to starting at Kermisch & Paletz, LLP., Robert worked at the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law where he provided free legal assistance to low income residents in Los Angeles County on family law matters including, but not limited to, divorce, child custody, and domestic violence. He then worked at Public Counsel, the nation’s largest provider of pro bono legal services, representing veterans on benefits claims before the Department of Veterans Affairs, discharge upgrades, and other civil matters.

While in law school, Robert participated in USC’s Veterans Legal Practicum and also interned at the Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center where he represented children who qualify for special education-related services under California and Federal law.

Robert also attended the University of Southern California for college where he majored in History and minored in Art History and Communication Law & Media Policy. In college, Robert volunteered at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art where he chaired their “Students of the Arts Program” to solicit and organize undergraduate and graduate students from the Los Angeles area to volunteer at museum exhibitions.

Robert is a Los Angeles native and enjoys playing golf and biking on the weekends. He also plays in a lawyer’s basketball league.
