Trace P. Demarest, Esq.

Associate Attorney

Trace earned his law degree from University of California, College of Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings). During law school, Trace served as the President of the Family Law Student Association and was an active member of the UC Law SF OutLaw chapter, furthering his commitment to advocacy and representation in family law. Trace also remained active in the academic side of law school, serving as both a research assistant for a tax professor and as a teaching assistant for Constitutional Law before graduating in 2024.

Prior to law school, Trace graduated with College Honors from Washington University in St. Louis, majoring in International and Area Studies with a focus in Development, alongside minors in Italian and Film & Media Studies. His pre-law experience includes teaching fourth grade in San Jose, CA with Teach for America and interning twice with the U.S. Department of State, including one term in Milan, Italy. These experiences have honed Trace’s skills in communication, cultural understanding, and legal analysis.

While in law school, Trace clerked for the Hon. Judge Adams of the Superior Court of California, Orange County and later at the Unified Family Court in San Francisco, gaining invaluable insights into the complexities of family law matters in California. Originally from Manhattan Beach, CA, he is excited to be back home in the beautiful and inviting, Southern California.

In his free time, Trace enjoys running, golfing, spending time with friends and family, and exploring all types of vegetarian recipes. He shares his love of adventure and downtime with his rescue dog, Archie.
