Associate Attorney

Kassandra Velasquez joined Kermisch & Paletz LLP as an associate attorney in 2020. Kassandra attended Loyola Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree in 2019. Kassandra was in the evening program at Loyola Law School and pursued her legal education while working full time as a law clerk at a civil litigation firm. In law school, Kassandra worked as a research assistant for a Loyola Law School professor, sat on the board of the Evening Student Bar Association, and provided pro-bono services at a domestic violence clinic in San Pedro.

Prior to law school, Kassandra attended Loyola Marymount University where she graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in History. In her final undergraduate year, Kassandra narrowed her academic focus on the Civil War and participated in a student-curated museum exhibit focused on Civil War artifacts. As a result of her work in the subject, Kassandra was asked to present her senior paper at the Loyola Marymount University Undergraduate Research Symposium.

As a Los Angeles native, Kassandra is a perpetual lover of the beach. When she isn’t advocating for her clients, Kassandra spends her time chasing her other passion in life: cooking. Her Colombian and Italian heritage instilled a deep appreciation for food, leaving her to spend her weekends experimenting in the kitchen. She also loves spending her free time with her rescue dog, Blue.
